So I'm back from Florida and it was as magical as ever. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios was insanely awesome. Me and my sister literally cried when we first walked into Hogsmeade, it was just so beautiful. Despite the packs of tourists and 40 degree (C) weather it really felt like you were THERE! And the Hogwarts attraction was AMAZING! It was one of those virtual simulator type of things and it was as though you were on a broomstick riding alongside Harry and the others. They had all the props there: Dumbledore's office and all of the commodities inside of it, the sorting hat, the defence against the dark arts classroom, the moving paintings; it was amazing! I think what made it extra special is the fact that the characters on the ride were the actual actors so it felt you were in the movie as well as the book :3
Enough on Potter world though (for now) I really enjoyed Florida this year. It holds such a big place in my heart. I cry uncontrollably every time I have to leave those Magic Kingdom gates for the last time, it feels like my heart's breaking. I really do love Disney.
The only reason I'm glad to be back is well, two things really; the food and the weather. American food is mostly disgusting and tastes of a conveyed belt and the weather is extremely humid, I had to bring a towel with me everywhere to mop up the sweat and have a fan permanently adjusted in front of my face at all times. It was killer. Still, it was better than this rubbish back here! Oh and another thing, the Harry Potter films are different in America! They were having a marathon of the films when I first arrived on abc so naturally I settled in by watching them but as I watched them I noticed scenes that I had not seen before... It was most queer. I liked the extra scenes mostly for the fact that it often explained why characters were where they were, for example, at one point I was like "OH! That's why Hermione asks where Harry's been at the end of the Yule Ball!" I can't remember whether these extra bits where in the books or not because I haven't read them for so long, but either way it was informative. This being said though, when I watched the scenes it felt like I was watching completely different people. They act a lot different and it often turns into this typical high school gossip show. For instance there's a part where they show Hermione drunk and the kissing scenes are either twenty times longer or aren't even in the UK version. Ah, I don't know.
I do know though that I had an excellent time and can't wait to go back one day. For now though, the three of us have got our eyes set on going to Mexico next year :D

If not entirely welcome.
Well today was quite nice. I saw the new/final Harry Potter at the cinema which was brilliant! And also met up with the dance girls for Nando's. It was nice.. But I don't know, I just feel so apart from people. They want to talk about cute waiters and other amusing stories and I just want to talk about the psyche of a serial killer and fawn over thom yorke. No. One. Knows. Ah. The walk home alone was great though. There was a complete downpour whilst I was walking down High Street and the brightest rainbow I have ever seen appeared.
Yesterday I walked around London for 12 hours in the company of a lovely German girl I met through tumblr. She was just there for a day and she wanted an 'unofficial' tour of the city. It was lovely. We admired nice shops and bought heavily in Primark (twice) and walked through some gardens and smoked a couple of spliff in Hyde Park.. Oh the satisfaction of walking past the police patrolling on their horses with a big bag of weed in your pocket. Ah, seriously though, it was really nice. It's just strange to think that I will probably never see her again in my life (unless I decide to backpack across Europe or something). Huh.
Now I'm just lying here feeling ill, watching Brett's perfect depiction of Holmes in The Sign of Four and contemplating the impossibility's of love. Goodnight.
N.B isn't it just WONDERFUL that Tom won The Apprentice!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh, I am so happy for him!! I know it sounds really cliché but I knew from the beginning he'd win! I mean literally, as soon as Lord Sugar applauded him for his analysis in the board room after that first task I literally turned round to my Dad and Sister and screamed 'HE'S WON IT!' Yay, Tom!

Well prom was fun. Prom was really really really fun.
The only good bit was the drunken conversation with Mr McKenzie and dancing to Single Ladies with him. I love Mr McKenzie. He's the only thing I'm going to miss about that place and he knows it.
But yeah, apart from that, then everything else about prom and the after prom party etc was a bit of a let down/disaster.
All I know now is that I'm in the mood to cry for hours and listen to Radiohead, maybe watch the first part of The Deathly Hallows and drink a lot of tea.
The worst part of it all is that I have my college induction day tomorrow. Not to mention the fact that this whole Granny thing seems to be taking a turn for the worse plus the fact that everything else is just fucked.

EXILE WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE

and has confirmed my beliefs that John Simm is one of the most amazing creatures on our planet.
I just cannot get over ...... ahhhhhhh, many many reasons. I'll try and think of some later.
in the mean time though;
HAI GUYS THIS IS WHAT AWESOME LOOKS LIKE
VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
TIM BURTON, HELENA BONHAM CARTER AND THOM YORKE
three angels/three gods fallen from the sky and in each others prescence. heaaaaavenly.
I wish thOm would teach me how to do this, there are so many people and recent occurances where I wish I'd just had the ability to tell them to fuck off, quite literally to their faces and walk away. Unfortunately though I inherit the British reserve and will therefore stand there and take whatever shit is given to me like the good, respectful person that I am.
It's also a gesture that should be directed at the rate of tumblr. I have lost 20 followers in like, a day, which basically must mean that these people cannot accept my love for The Dead Weather and John Simm. WELL FUCK YOU GUYS THEN, IT'S YOUR LOSS.
Time to watch my rediscovered RHCP DVD and do some Harry Potter lego, night

dance you fucker
so's your fucking face

there are so many things that annoy me.
i have just realised.

meh, have a picture of yorke. he makes everything better.
went to mersea today with the family. it was quite awkward at first, but then me and auntie had a nice chat at the end, it would of been nice if it was longer but dad had to get home.
the best thing to come out of today though:

MY AUNTIE IS POSTING THIS TO ME NEXT WEEK :D :D :D :D
it's a long story but i feel like retelling it anyway:
my cousin (who i should point out is 22 i think) had this down on his christmas list, in fact, i think it was all he asked for, which was ironic because i'd asked for exactly the same thing. the difference is though, my auntie actually bought it for him. well, what happened was john lewis rang up and said they couldn't get it delivered to her house the right side of christmas, so instead she had it sent to his flat after christmas for logical reasons. anyway, john lewis never charged her for it. and not only that, they sent another one to her house this time, again with no charge. so basically she has a spare harry potter hogwarts lego set tucked away in a spare room awaiting my ownership. i am so excited, i love my auntie lots.

Well, have you got something constructive to say that doesn't involve 'you know who'?
Yes.
I finished my English essay. I manipulated a lot of information I found on the Internet that clever people had submitted though. This being because I couldn't be bothered to think for myself. I mean who does that these days?

Also, I forgot how yummy strawberries were.

I just found this amusing. Ha ha.
Hum, what else? Oh yes, I think I might watch Harry Potter once I've showered.
(this post is really difficult) oh and roast dinner at the Queen's Head was nice, again...
I'm ever so slightly short on conversation and anything light and interesting and not about you know who...
BUT I CAN'T HELP MYSELF; IF I CHANGED MY LAST NAME TO OWEN I WOULD HAVE CHILDREN WITH HIM FOR FUCKS SAKE.
Ahem, so yes! Other things! Oh yeah, I got a rejection from the Grammar. I've gotta be honest, when I opened the letter I kind of sighed to myself. It was like all those expectations just flew out of the letterbox, as well with my future. Just kidding of course.. what I meant was after my day at the recording studio, just writing songs in general as well as performing them occasionally, I just know what I want to do. Even if I fail at it miserably. I'd rather be 100% confident in what I'm doing then feel like a complete delinquent surrounded by a bunch of Etonians. Oh and I tried to do the whole videoing me with my guitar and singing and put it onto youtube but I came across a slight dilemma. That dilemma being the fact that my guitar is too loud for the microphone.... so looks like I'm waiting on the final mixes from Mark at the studio.
Yes. Half term was nice while it lasted I suppose. There were quite a few Oh's in this post, no? Night night?

I never did speak of Christmas.
Well it was alright I suppose but nothing spectacular. The highlight of christmas was Doctor Who. Then the Harry Potter Wii game (which I think I might go and play). But no, I don't think it was on christmas day itself, but I watched that mini-series of Upstairs Downstairs. It was enormous fun! As they would say! I love period drama, it's truly splendid.

This was indeed me on Christmas day. Wearing my new H&M jumper gifted from Father Lee, testing my new nano straighteners from sister of mine and also testing the new make-up cousin Alice got me. I appreciate them all! It sickened me to see facebook posts later on with people literally listing what they got as a status. Did you know that gluttony and greed are deadly sins?
Ahem, so! Christmas was another good day I guess. Now roll on New Years Eve tomorrow! Hopefully got some of the girls over for a messy lovely time.

He-art
Art mock tomorrow, I'm feeling better than I was about it, for sure.
My piece is related to work, rest and play in a typical Rachel over complicated, complex way. But it nonetheless is related.

This is what happens when you feel pressurized by peers and teachers to produce an extremely high skilled painting.

And this is what happens when you decide to show your own individual flare and embrace your inner abstract-esque.
Two guesses as to which one I'm going to be applying to my canvas tomorrow?
So I'm going to finish up writing what my amendments are to my final piece for tomorrow and then I'm going to snuggle up with a bit of light reading: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
xoxo (GG)
