I've hit the motherload!

So first thing's first, I'm feeling better, but yesterday I felt awful. One productive occurrence though was that I decided on the prom dress I want. This being because everyone at school yesterday seemed to be transfixed on what they were going to wear, so needless to say I felt I
had to hop on the bandwagon.
However, this is rather expensive, and for around half the price I could purchase a Shift dress from the same season by the same designer, here.
This is all hypothetical though of course, as it is all permitting I get a job to actually contribute half the amount (which will break the bank account irrespective of a job or not). But yes. I want this majorly for prom. And just in general. Jesus, I haven't even started to think about the clutch or heels yet... damn it. I'm broke.

More importantly and relevantly; we've finally got a snow day! Oh it's really quite beautiful out there in the garden. Polly the dog looks half the height and the trampoline is covered in the stuff. It's all very Harry Potter to be honest, and I dare say I'm expecting Hedwig to swoop past in a second (I resurrected her, get over it)

So yes, I'm going to go and get ready to meet the chickens, in a while crocodile!

& she wonders why her eyes hurt

I've been watching Peep Show since 3:30. Is it any wonder my eyes are constantly all puffy & red?
But I mean c'mon, you've got to love these guys!

In other news I'm very sad to report I doubt we'll be having a snow day tomorrow. Which is upsetting because me and Emily had already basically planned it all out - our snow days are the best. The upside to all of this however is that I'm going to a party on saturday. Which is incredible considering I haven't been to a party in weeks. Yes, actual weeks! So yes roll on a snow day tomorrow, failing that just roll on the weekend!

I leave ya'll with a bit of Kills. How have I still not got the albums?

This was too surreal for Dali

Let me start by saying it's not going to fucking snow. OR more importantly, we're not going to have a 'snow day'. Sorry but for those of us who are freaking out by the lack of school days left after MJ scaremongering us yesterday, I wouldn't actually mind the school's being open. Shoot me.

Now I've got that out of my system, let me start by saying I am so bored I've had to settle for typing this. Just think, I could be working right now, literally.... fingers crossed... fucking phone me T&G! But oh no, I'm sat here with nothing to do. I've just wrote another song and now I am bored. So bored I'm going to repeat that I am so bored, again.

Last night was strange. We had a police officer come round the house due to nasty people next door. I told him "hearing a woman screaming at the top of her lungs in Polish is nothing new to me, sorry I can't be more helpful." But yes, police officers scare me a little bit.
I then went to the open mic night at The Old Queens Head in Aldham. It was so much fun! I never believe people when they praise me. At all. It was quite overwhelming though, everyone was just so super duper supportive and friendly! I got chatting to this guy who's dad was performing (I don't like calling guys 'boys' when they're 16, it's weird) but yeah, he looked exactly like Matt Smith which a little bit AWESOME. And basically, the point of the story is that I accidentally spilt my drink all over him... nice one Rachel... but yeah, he didn't mind, he said he'll buy my EP when I record one. He also said that he thought Manchester was near Ipswich. Then there was this other guy who looked JUST like Marcus Mumford. But was no way near as nice as Marcus Mumford. He was really rude. But then he encouraged me to do an encore.. I couldn't tell whether he was being sarcastic though, he had had a few... my money's on the latter. But yes, last night's open mic went smashingly! I'm definitely making a second appearance! Thank you Alison for taking me. Why can't you be our music teacher at school? The one I've got is an absolute frog.

Today I've been doing NOTHING. And will continue to do NOTHING. I'm quite happy with doing NOTHING.

In other news, the leftover wine from a couple of weeks ago has gone.
