24hrs

This time last night I was just leaving the sixth form, after being there for barely an hour long. That in itself says everything considering the open evening could've potentially lasted three hours.

I suppose, like this post I did things in the wrong order.
My standards were set to high the minute I went to the grammar school last thursday. Which was blooming amazing 'BTW'!

So yes, the sixth form last night was a let down to say the least. The art department - more specifically art history was the first sector me and FL looked at. I have to say, the art history course looks awesome, and I felt like I knew straight away that it was the course for me.
As well as art history being smashing, so was just plain old art. I recongised a few familar faces whilst pondering around although never had the stomach to pluck up the courage and go say hi... they look scary... But yes, I don't think I could honestly fault the art department although we'll see about that when I go to the institue open evening.

Moving on, I saw the history/politics sectors, which were so so and then the music department. My oh my do not get me started. There were no teachers there to greet us and the students themselves were rather obnoxious to say the least. The actual facilities appeared nice enough, but the environment of the department was a cold and unwelcoming one.

At this point I just decided to leave; I'd seen enough.

So! What did I learn from this little trip?
  1. Don't take music
  2. If you go, take two arts at least
  3. Stay away from fleeting fairs
  4. Make sure your jumper covers your jeans
  5. Trust your instinct
  6. Get the grades for the grammar

Having said all this though, going there wouldn't be the apocalypse don't get me wrong, it's just that there are better places I could think off.
