Update 1

This is actually a rather beautiful cover. Who knew Ellie Goulding actually had the ability to produce such a good song. Although to be fair it isn't her song, so obviously it's going to sound ridiculously amazing.

Yesterday, apart from bumping into friends, I went into town to buy the debut album of Sleigh Bells and Led Zeppelin's 'Mothership' on the saviour offer of "2 for £10". I also managed to finally buy my own printing equipment, which now means that the only possible motives for doing art at school now would be to use either photoshop, batik or any form of ink. However, I think I'm going to put ink on my christmas list so that narrows the field down considerably.

Watching Jimmy Page play the electric guitar with a bow is just too cool.

My Saturday night however did not consist of any raucous parties, just a Whole Lotta Love Led Zeppelin and Textiles work. I'm also rather ashamed to say I watched the majority of X Factor. You will be glad to know though that after an hour I suddenly realised the crime against music I was committing and withdrew to the sleeping chamber.

So bar from all of this I am quite literally feeling dazed and confused about certain issues. One thing I am beginning to come to terms with now though is that I am embracing the new Serena and leaving the old one behind. As in I'm finally beginning to outgrow the need to waste my days not knowing what I'm doing, intoxicated on a load of garbage. This being said, the temptation to revel in a Jim Morrison spiral into destruction is quite tempting...

HELP

How am I supposed to be able to sing this for my lesson tomorrow?

I've honestly practised it to the best of my best ability and let me tell you now that it is impossible, or at the very least highly improbable that I am going to be able to sing this in tune...

Gah Ellie Goulding. Can't you choose a simpler, less complex 'ooh-aa-eee' melody next time?
